I compensate with administrative [bonus], free subscription, full creative ownership of their content, a portion of all proceeds recieved from subscription or other matters related to the game. Also, along with all of that, they would get another notch on their belt, aswell as my name on any resume they have as a referance. [That is basically just bonus aswell, but I thought Id include it for some reason.]

Ah. That IS a good idea. I would also reccomend some sort of categorizing system be implemented afterwards for someone to look for a job. Ex: A dropdown box to seperate coding jobs and jobs with coding and pixel art away from just pixel art jobs. You know, categorization?

Having to babysit a game is not a reward.

Im not giving it as a reward or as payment. Im just giving it as a bonus so they may-if they choose- watch over something they helped to create. Its not another job, its just an added perk.

No, a perk means small benefit, Moderation IS a job.

Moderation is only a job if you have rules to follow. If you can just shamelessly wield power over people, its a perk.

Not really moderation then, eh?

Canadian, eh?
No, its still moderation. They can still boot and ban people who are doing things that they don't like, or who are disrupting gameplay. But if you have no accountability because no one is going to punish you for abusing their powers, then it can't really be considered a job. |

Thats not what I mean. Im talking about a lazy person who is planning to give up on their game after a few weeks. I can seriously say that Im going to be working hard on this untill I find staff, but that cant be said of a lot of people out there. Nobody "plans" on giving up on their game in a few weeks. They all, without one exception, think or say the exact same things that you're saying right now. |

I'm actually not Canadian (although I do say eh from time to time).
I don't consider it true moderation, then. |

I beleive that people who have a game Idea yet barley know how to code, just have a friend or two and maybe decent or poor iconning skils should stop coming up with anime games saying "We need a main coder", the people with the idea should be coding most of the game.

I know perfectly how to code. If any coders did apply, I would just need them to do the easy task of coding in redundant, easy, or minor implementations. Ive read the .PDF guide and all. Also, this isnt an anime game.

I know no-one plans, but all Im saying is that if theyre not up for sticking it out for the long walk, then dont put on the shoes.

Its not quite a job. Im speaking of the ability to fix any disruption of the game, or to overlook on some player's games and all. It is considered fun for a lot of the gaming populas to have this ability, so I consider it a small perk.

Again, the exact same line of thought that everybody else is using.
Fun fact: you aren't the center of the universe. |

You might consider asking for one job at a time so you don't look like another anime kid who wants people to build his game. And you're not going to need a programmer, artist, mapper and writer all at once.
Be specific about what you're asking for, too. Which ad would YOU be more likely to respond to: 1. I need a coder, an iconer, a mapper and a writer to help me with my game. 2. I need someone to help me with adding in a whole slew of item definitions into my code. Its really easy work and pretty redundant, but you need to have at least some basic knowledge of how to write DM code. I have all the item stats on a spreadsheet and I just need them recreated in DM. |
