I'm Curious as to how i might become part of staff, i heard it's volunteer, and would like to know how I could apply.

Volunteer positions are currently reserved for people who have been actively contributing to the project for quite a few years. It also requires a level of trust from the BYOND Staff (which is another thing completely) and that they know you quite well. There is no application process, it's a matter of being asked.
