no actually you are wrong...if you would WATCH the NEWS you would know that it was banned in many countries due to violence, and all but 1 of those countries have never banned any games before, and if CoD4 is tame compared to other games, and if GTA4 is so bad, then why was it CoD4 that was banned and not GTA4?

I'm sure the fact that these are Islamic countries and that you kill Muslims in several in-game missions are only a coincidence

well that's one screwed up image of a forum, a forum is for people to discuss and debate, but the point isn't to try to make others look bad compared to you and make you look good compared to a god

The purpose of a debate is to make your stance look like the better one, which involved making the other person's stance seem worse. That involves degrading their stance, so a big DUH! goes out to you.

and you look more then perfect... you just dont get it do you? the ACTUAL point of a forum is to ask questions to get them answered, and help others that have asked questions by answering questions that they asked, not turning they're question into a major argument.

Many questions are answered through argument. You don't seem to understand the concept that an argument isn't a bad thing. It only starts becoming bad when names are thrown around and the whole thing loses its value. It's also rather useless when one side sticks to a stance that is poorly informed.

If it benefits no one, then why do you bother to argue? By your own logic, you are performing the very useless act that you deride others for, making you a hypocrite. If this is the superior stance, and you are aware of it, then why do you take the inferior route?

a forum thread that has a rellivent question and no arguments:

A: no arguments so nobody looks like a jerk
B: no enemies are made so nobody is still mad over nothing
C: the origonal question is answered so the poster is happy
D: you realize that the civil war started over an argument over slavery right? just an argument

You don't understand one basic thing about arguments: arguments don't exist purely to make another person look like a fool. In fact, in a good argument neither side will look like a fool. With a good argument, the general awareness and intelligence of a group is increased, as they have arrived at a better solution.

Also, you're poorly informed. Only a small part of the Civil War was over slavery. It was largely over economics and issues on how to properly run government. Slavery came into the spotlight with the Emancipation Proclamation, an that was only for slaves in the states of the Confederacy. Slaves in Union states were not freed.

You're confusing M with AO. BYOND already has games that might in some way merit an M.
