I think it would be a drastic improvement if the forum system was to be migrated to a phpBB, e107, or other modern system. What's currently running works (obviously), but I think that a newer system could work a lot better.

I'm sure lots of people have suggested this before, and I'm just a new guy, but I thought I'd make a suggestion that might help the community as a whole.
No.

What's wrong with this forum?
If I am right(I hope I am) this forum is unique to byond (well its the only site I have ever seen with this) and well I like it, keep it the same. The phrase: "If it ain't broke don't fix it." comes to mind.
Not even if this forum had any problems, phpBB and e107 are made from 100% Columbian dung. Moving the BYOND forums to a phpBB one would be one hell of a downgrade.
These forums are one of the few I can tolerate. Please don't ruin that.

Yeah, the BYOND forums are the best forums I have ever had the pleasure to use. Tree threads make things so much easier to follow. I doubt I'd be around BYOND long if they ever changed to phpBB or another system.

Well ok then :]

I'll just use GreaseMonkey to change things around so they suit me...

idea. Perhaps you could publ
phpBB are the most awful forum software I have ever seen, and I can only think that the reason they are so popular is because the average person is both very stupid and very lazy.
BYOND forums may not be as feature-laden as some of the other forums you're used to, but in my experience it is considerably faster, cleaner and easier to use.
