I was wondering if fangames will be able to earn money with the new BYONDgnome buisness model, and if that's illegal?
If you've got a license agreement with the copyright holder whose material you use, I doubt BYOND will stand in the way of your making money. If not, then I would not advise using BYOND to market and monetize gamega,es

Edit: gamega,es? I must have been half-asleep typing that. Should be fangames.

Our current plan is to require game authors to opt into the new system, which basically forces them to agree that any revenues they make are their own responsibility.

So in other words, yes, Fangames can make money, but if they get sued, its their own problem.

That's about how we'd like to handle it, yes. We can't realistically police the entries and this is meant to be an automated system. So let them decide if they're legit or not.

What about ripped games stealing work from other members? And when will this new feature take effect?
