Would blog posts with any cursing in it whatsoever by any chance automatically be filtered from the home members page even if its within the actual post rather than the post description? 0_0
Yes.

Wow, I thought that only applied to forums..Tom cursed, but I guess since he's the guy over Byond and all..>_> I would appreciate if that was changed, I mean why not have a little more freedom? 0_0

Yes Tom cursed, then someone pointed it out to him and he fixed it. This is more than I can say for 90% of the forum go-ers/posters.

And what's this nonsense about 'freedom'? You are mostly free to use your blog as you wish. Just don't expect BYOND to advertise it for you.

Yes I know that I'm mostly free but I didn't expect my blog post to be treated the same as if it were a link to pornography for including one word out of say a 250+ word post. Like I said, I'd appreciate it if the blogs were a little more free, but I'm not exactly gonna start a riot over whether this change actually takes place.

I honestly would prefer stricter filters on blog posts. But more than that, I'd prefer customizable filters, which would make everyone happy.

As far as I'm concerned, anything that's not talking about games, game design, graphics, or programming in some way, shape or form and go ahead and jump into my little garbage can.

But in the end, BYOND is just trying to make sure that its page is mostly safe for the 9-year-olds who inevitably visit. If you can't handle keeping your blog clean enough for 9-year-olds to read while their overly-protective parents are watching, then go advertise it somewhere else.

And this is ironic because it's usually the 9-14 year-olds we are trying to protect that are doing most of the cussing.
