Has anyone checked this out yet? Open source handheld coming out in 2008 with pretty impressive hardware for somewhat of an indie project.

Looks quite nifty to me. Similar to the GP2X and GP32X handhelds although I reckon it may share a similar fate of failing to do well in the market.
Thought some people here might be interested.

The GP2X never died, it is still has a huge user base that developes for it, but when you have a open source handheld like that, you have to rely on people, not companies to make games and software.
From a emulation stand point, the GP2X was awesome. I just never had the money to buy it, it costs more then a PSP and lacks any real 3D rendering abilities. On a side note, the Pandora not only looks great, but sounds great. Too bad I know i won't be able to afford one. The keyboard could have used work though. |

Jobs are a wonder :o I figured if I save up money from this month and the next month I'll have around 600$ Which is enough to buy that and a few accessories :D!
Problem about jobs are, you have to be a certain age D: I wish they'd get rid of that rule. |

And you know, how old are you? I owe like $3,000 and have to pay rent and stuff. Life sucks, you can't always afford that sweet stuff.
I think they should have the keyboard like the mini board you can get for the Xbox 360 controller. I got one, it works great. |

Even if someone is young they can still have extra money. Do not immediately say someone is young because they have $300 extra dollars.

Yeah, and don't think that just because you are young means you do have extra money, either. It's rare for me to have more than $100 in my bank at a time xD

I'm sure people will have hacked Ubuntu in a few days of it's release, how awesome would that be!
But that's still not as cool as the EeePC. Didn't Ubuntu say they were developing a Mobile version? |

Eh...Yes, I have a bank account. My job only does direct-deposits (which sucks, IMO. I had always looked forward to the feeling of walking into the bank to cash my very first paycheck, and that just isn't possible nowadays =/), so it's pretty much required.

Flame Sage: Newegg is offering free shipping on the Eee PC with a coupon code. If you are still planning on getting it and are interested on the free shipping, I'll give you the coupon code.

Could you email me that cupon code?
Also, I'm thinking about getting the $299 model. Is the 399$ or 499$ really worth it? (I assume I can run even Eeexubuntu on 512mb of ram) |
Hell, if I make enough money by the time it comes out I'll probably look it over and decide if I want it or not =o. It looks like its 320$ So we'll see what I can make by then.
