What are some good Nintendo and Super Nintendo games?
[No "illegal" links please.]
Here are a few good snes games:

Metal Marines
U.N. Squadron
Zombies Ate My Neighbors!
Blackthorn
The Lost Vikings games
Kirby Superstar

In my opinion these games are good, as well as the mario/zelda/megaman games I didn't list.

Super Mario Allstars.
I wasted too much of my time on that game =\.
I liked the NBA Live and Maddens games. Also Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong, and Mario Kart.
All SNES games:
Super Mario All-Stars
Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 (3 is a bit forgettable)
Megaman X
Terranigma
Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals (Known as 'Lufia' in PAL regions, if relevant)
Secret of Mana (Pretty rare. I have a copy! :))
Secret of Evermore (Spiritual successor to the above)
Final Fantasy 6 (Buggy, though)
Zelda: A Link to the Past
Bahamut Lagoon (Unfortunately, only available in Japanese. For the Japanese version of the SNES)
Chrono Trigger

All of those ae games I've played and loved. My opinion only, of course. Some of them might be hard to find - Secret of Mana and Bahamut Lagoon, for example. Bahamut Lagoon doesn't even come in English.

I'll probably think of some more later, and mentally hit myself for forgetting Super Awesome Happy-Happy Fun-Time 3, or what-have-you. :P

Don't forget Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer, which are the games that came before Terranigma (you see hints of this in Neo Tokyo) in the series. (Terranigma is my favorite of the three though.)

The original Lufia is good too, and it has a powerful ending. FF5 is a good game, but there's no English version. If you want FF6's North American version you'll need to look for Final Fantasy 3.

Secret of Mana was one of the best games I ever played, I hope they remake it someday with better graphics, that game was sheer Amazing.
Stuff that hasn't been mentioned so far:

SNES Games:

Rock N Roll Racing
F-Zero
Super Metroid
Super Mario World
Star Fox
R-Type

NES Games:

Mario 1-3
Metroid
Zelda
Final Fantasy
Blaster Master
Unfortunately, I never got a chance to use a NES, but here are some SNES games I enjoyed:
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  • Super Bomberman (First multiplayer SNES game! Great two-player story mode, and fun 4-player mode)
  • Cool Spot (Awesome platformer)
  • Super James Pond (One of the oddest and least straight-forward platformers I've ever played.)
  • Goof Troop (Another game with a great two-player story mode)
  • Bubsy (Another platformer)
  • Disney's Aladdin (Platformer)
  • Yoshi's Island (Platformer)
  • Stunt Race FX (3d-ish racing game with fun modes)
  • The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse (Another Platformer. Two-player story mode, one at a time)
  • The Great Circus Mystery (Starring Mickey again. This one has a simultaneous two-player story mode.)
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Mario Paint (Most.Fun.Ever)

I guess now I know where my love for platformers comes from.

There's also a cool attachment that lets you play old, black and white (or grey, rather) Gameboy games. I can't find mine, so I don't know its name. But it let you draw on the screen and some other fun stuff.

It's the "Super Game Boy", basically the prequal to the Gameboy Color. It ACTUALLY was able to edit the game colors so you could play the game pseudo-GBC style.
Hehe....

NBA Jam. Most fun you'll get out of an SNES basketball game. Or...any basketball console game for that matter...
(insert various street fighter titles for SNES here)

Illusion of Gaia was already mentioned....great game, I don't think Secret of Evermore was mentioned. Secret of Evermore and Illusion of Gaia go hand in hand in my childhood.
Oh and....anyone else notice how Secret of Evermore and Secret of Mana have like, the EXACT same battle system? ....SoE needs a sequel....
Most people here already said GREAT ones, so I'll add on.

Super mario all-stars (Had remakes of Mario 1, 2, & 3.)

Donkey kong country 2 (Debately the most difficult DK game)

Super mario kart (Classic fun)

Battletoads (NES, incredibly difficult. I advise not trying to purchase this at any gamestop.)

Megaman III

Rest were already mentioned.
