Well I just got done reading the AC thread and searched back a few pages and did not noticed a ME thread. They both come out this month. If I have to choose either game, I think I will lean towards Mass Effect. I have not looked into AC very much, so I could change my mind. Discuss ME.

Hmm, if I had to choose one or the other it would be a tough call. Based on what I've read:
ME has character customization, probably a lot more dialogue and plot elements than AC, and a wide variety of environments on dozens of different planets.
AC has one large, interconnected world based on a real historical period, and a dude who can pretty much climb and jump anywhere he likes.
Both have real-time combat, lots of side missions, and sequels already being planned.
I'd probably give the edge to AC, because I tend to like roaming in big wide-open worlds better than shuttling between enclosed locations. But I expect they'll both be pretty good.
