Who else is getting it? I already planned to get it next week, but after reading IGN's Preview, I'm anticipating it a bit more.
I'm getting it next year, when Ninty remembers Australia exists.

(More seriously, does anyone know what the Aussie release date is? Is there one yet?)

Isn't AU eleases apart of the PAL EU Releases?
If so, MP3 Comes out in october for us.
In response to Nishiatsu
AU has a separate release date I believe but you could import from Europe.

I don't think we're in the same region as Europe for the purpose of region locking.

It's tough being an aussie console gamer.
I might get it. The problem is that it doesn't have online multiplayer, so I might just get MoH.

They're not even remotely similar. One's an FPS, one's an adventure game.
I might rent it, but I don't think I'll buy it. I am a old school gamer and I grew up with Metroid and Super Metroid and thats what I like and am used to.

While the Metroid Prime series did manage to capture some of the old flair of the original titles, it still doesn't feel like a true Metroid Title to me and because of that I enjoy it less then previous Metroid games.

Also Red Steel was a terrible disappointment. I hope they got the controls down well, because Red Steel was a nightmare just trying to play and it was fugly. So that on it's own makes me a little hesitant on getting Metroid Prime 3. I hope they don't add a lot of unnecessary motion controls.

Did Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Hunters really impress you that much with their multiplayer modes?

You can import it from Europe.

Well I hope Nintendo finds a way to lock off your online access then. Just like how Mario Kart bricked a bunch of flashed Nintendo DS systems.

It is a drive hack, Nintendo will have to come to my house and block it >.>.

I buy games too, i don't always download. I support Nintendo's games and their second party developers. But for metroid i had to download, couldn't wait. But i'll buy the pal version when it comes out :P

Games made by EA and stuff i won't bother...

Actually that doesn't matter, all Nintendo has to do is scan your hardware and software and if they decide your system has been modified, they could remove your Wii from ever getting online again. So unless you got a mod that can actually be shut on and off, you could be caught any time you have that thing go online.

If they wanted to, I'm sure a quick scan of savefiles to check if any thing that isn't from the same region as you could result in a ban.

I Region Free my discs before i burn them, meaning that i convert the discs to PAL. And since the modchip is soldered directly to the wii's dvd drive nintendo can't do anything about it.

I'm sure if Nintendo wanted to they could do it based on release date. Let's face it, they can catch up to our hack just as fast as we catch up to their fix.
In response to Smoko
The chip only activates when a disc is inserted. And if Nintendo wanted to do it, they would have done it already.

If you'll notice, I already said they could stop mods if they really cared. Not that they will stop them at any second of the day.

We will see....

I think it was worth getting my wii modded, saved me a lot of £££ =D And earlier releases.
