Hey guys; this is suppsoed to be about MP3. Yes it is indeed a great game and definitely takes a spot in my unwritten list of best games I ever played. I haven't beaten it yet but I'm 12 hours in. :D

I don't agree with it. You are a thief. If you can't afford the game, you shouldn't be playing it. Turns out the companies selling you games are thieves too- 40 quid for a game is waaay too expensive. I don't steal console games (far too much hassle), but I do know that the prices we pay for console (and PC games alike) are outrageous*. We used to pay 40 quid for a cartridge game (in europe they had to pay more than that, but Ninty ended up getting sued by the EU for dodgy business practises- making germans pay 60 quid for the games, then banning importing games from other european countries), and cartridges are pretty expensive to make in the first place. CDs are much, much cheaper to produce- but we still pay 40 quid for a game on a CD. If they deserved the money we're paying them, the companies should have lowered the pices by the money they've saved producing them (don't give me anything about rising prices of game production- that's the dev company's fault, not the consumers. Just because they feel they need to hire 50 artists for every 1 programmer for every game doesn't mean we should suffer for it). So I don't really mind Nish stealing some games- in any event my paying for 40 quid games is going to give them a profit for their expense producing both mine and nish's copies so it's not like they're going to go bankrupt. *I think there's less of a problem in countries like America where there is less tax and so on, but it's still quite pricey. |

Revenant Jesus wrote: Hey, where I used to live, back in the day Super Mario Brothers 3 cost me $75.00 USD. The price has since then gone down, even with the new price rises on games. That price doesn't just cover the production of the CD or the cartridge format, that covers advertising, licensing, developers, musicians and other things. You can't fault a company for making money, because if they didn't make money, they would fail to exist. That and the fact that for the most part, Nintendo has almost always offered the lowest prices out of any of their competitors. In the end you can attempt to try and reason about it all you want. Stealing is stealing. It is simple as that. |
