Explain to me why that wouldn't be completely pointless.
That guide is full of bull crap. I owned a Xbox and a Sony PSP. And the Xbox wasn't even capable of running a halfway decent version of Windows. It was so laggy and it would crash multiple times. I can't think of a single good reason to have Linux or Windows on the Sony PSP. The best hacks I knew were simply homebrew. It was pretty cool to be able to play GBA or SNES games on the PSP. I guess one person even got a laggy PSX emu working on it. |

If cell phones and iPods can run Linux, the PSP definitely can. I personally don't suggest putting Windows onto anything, much less something as dear as a PSP.

Hey you know what, I don't know. All I did was download them and run them. They were individual programs. I don't know how they work, so if they had Linux embedded into them, I wouldn't know. But I never went out of my way to install Linux.
But that isn't the point. Linux was used with THOSE. Explain to me why you would just want plain old Linux on your PSP. And who CARES if Linux is on a freaking cell phone. It is hard enough to type a e-mail or browse the web on my cell phone. Having Linux on a cell phone would be like having Linux on a Blender. As for the Sony PSP being near and dear, don't make me laugh. |

I'm pretty sure most PSP homebrew is run directly without an OS like linux.
And Linux can be good for a lot of devices assuming it has an interface and actual use that works like on Ipod Linux where the interface is just like the real ipod one and it has a lot more features compared to the apple firmware. |
