I'm going on a trip next weekend (8 hour long drive).
I have a few ogm files (with .sub subtitles) and really, really need to figure out how to convert them (with the subtitles intact) into an iPod readable format.

NOTE: I am using Linux (sigh) so I need a linux application to do this.
If you have Mplayer installed you could use the Mencoder section of it to convert them, google for 'Mencoder frontends' and find one you like. Alternatively you could load it into cinelerra(if you have it installed) and export. Ipods use Mp4/MPEG-4 format for videos

Warning: I have limited experience of cinelerra use.
