Has the series just lost its touch? I loved the game as a kid, and if I had a gamecube, I'd be playing the ones for the gamecube, but recently I've noticed Sonics games looking a little...well...strange. Has anyone seen the vid for the new Sonic the Hedgehog? What HAVE they been smoking!?

Heres the preview for the next Sonic game.

Sonic makes me cry now :'[
Wait why is there a human besides Dr. R? It looks like it is supposed to be a block-buster movie not a Sonic game. Then again it looks like it will be better than the last couple Sonic games. Still no match for the 2d ones though.
To me it looks like the begining was mostly a joke. Looking at the in-game footage, it will be much more like the DreamCast versions, which I miss.

Not as strange as any of the other Sonic games since the Dreamcast. I find it a bit annoying that while they pulled off such a great translation from 2D to 3D in terms of gameplay they sort of screwed it up with the plot. The Sonic universe is just weird nowdays.
I understand that Sonic never really had a plot until Sonic Adventure, but it's like they just took Final Fantasy, threw in some Die Hard and then replaced the main characters with the Sonic cast.

SEGA make some great games but they just can't seem to write a story that doesn't sound like it was thought up by the same guys who make those crazy Japanese gameshows where people have to go on blind-dates with bears while ducks try and sabotage the whole event.

Then again maybe I'm just annoyed because they changed Dr. Robotnik's name to 'Eggman'. =P

In Sonic X (TV show of Sonic, latest one), apparently Eggman in it is the grandson (or was it uncle? Well, anyways, he is a relative) of Dr. Robotnik

..what? Look at my name >_> I can't help watch some cartoons <_<

- GhostAnime - Okay, that's enough staring

Take my word for it.

That looks similar to my collection. I have a few magazine holders for them on my shelf.

Which series do you have there? I like Archie's. Unfortunately though, I'm a few years behind on them. My newest issue is #68. I have most of the spin-offs and specials too though.

It is not the first one to have other humans in it.

I have #1 to #72. After about 60 or so I'd say the series jumped the shark. I have a lot (I guess) of the spinoffs. I even have the super sonic vs hyper knuckles special. =)
