Whenever I run windows media player(the new version beta) it starts to eat up tons of memory, and starts taking up like 10-20 CPU, making my PC slow. Is there any fix for this?

Use WinAmp :P
The beta is so new that the best thing you can do is google it. Also, search the Microsoft help for the beta.
