is it possible to change an NSF file into an OGG file? if so, how do I do this... I did a few searches but couldn't find much of anything.

I am having troubles finding any information on the NFS audio file format. Is it a proprietary format for some obscure media player or something?

@Danial.Beta:
It's a NES sound file(source)

@Satans Spawn:
NEZamp seems like it should be able to convert it WAV, from there you could transcode with VLC into an OGG.

Cool, thanks.

Also, for future reference, if you're able to play something on your computer then you can use a recording program (e.g. Audacity - you can usually capture from your sound card's output, Creative calls it the "What U Hear" recording channel) to capture the audio and then use a sound editing program (Audacity again!) to save into OGG format.

No idea if this degrades quality, but if it does I've never noticed (which means nothing since I'm about as far away from being an audiophile as it's possible to be).

Most 'audiophiles' would say that it'd be fine, but only if that channel had a golden volume-control slider that cost $200 extra. >.>

No way, you need a volume knob made of 300-year-old East African Mahogany to get the right resonance and feel the true warmth of the sound. Oh, and it has to be suspended in mid air.
