I dont know how new this news is, but I just found out about 'Turok: heart of darkness' set to release fall 2007 for the Xbox 380 and PS3. It looks really awsome! It has great graphics, physics (pin someone to a tree using a bow), and weapons (like a flamethrower and naplam gernade launcher in one!), But also an original concept concerning the dinosaurs... In the game, you and your team go to a hostile alien planet to destroy the evil Whiskey Company but the ship gets shot down during landing and the team gets scattered. You need to defeat Whiskey Company while surviving the hostile planet full of man-eating plants, disease, and Kiler dinosaurs. The cool twist to the dinosaurs is that they are intellegant in the sense that they each act differently (raptors hunt in packs, ect.) but they explore anything that causes attention, like a gernade explosion would attract dinosaurs to that area. This can be used to your advantage though... for example, you see a group of enemies while hiding in some plants, you also spot a wandering T-rex not to far away, you shoot the T-rex from the bush causing the T-rex to turn around and attack the first target he sees, like the enemy group. The game also offers great AI for the enemy soldiers too, they would hide in bushes and plants stalking players and ambushing dinosaurs in groups and stuff. The game also includes a online (maybe splitscreen too) co-op mode and other muliplayer modes like CTF. The multiplayer objects can also be very difficult, for example there would be a mode where you must find something and return it to base, but the certain something is in a raptor nest, this is only a small example too. The story mode is also full of suspense and horror, raptors jumping out of nowhere and clawing out your throat, a very frightning situation...
Looks fun, a must-get for me!

One of the biggest things the developers were getting across was that they wanted to make up for the failures of the last Turok games. They also have a new developing team made up of veteran game makers from franchises like Splinter Cell, Metriod Prime, Def Jam, Need for Speed, and Prince of Persia... sounds promising, hardly a 5 out of 10 team with hardly a 5 out of 10 concept (but you never know...)

Also, the entire pin someone to a tree with a bow thing has been around for a few years. Not revolutionary.
I've read quite a few reviews about the last Turok game. If the new one doesn't get below a 5 out of 10, I might actually try it.
