Ok on my old intel Celeron processor i have a stock heat sink and i was wondering how i would go about removeing it to replace it. its glued on with some kinda paste and doesnt have a latch or screws holding it in place ive tryed pulling off but i am scared thatim gonna use to much pressure and pull the processor port thing stright off the motherboard. is there something i can use or a way to get this pesky heatsink off?
There's probably clips on the heatsink itself. At least, there should be.

The thermal paste between processors and heatsinks isn't actually adhesive, so you should be able to pull it right off once you unclip it.

well there a metal clip that looks like if you push it down it will come off but when i do nothing happens if i pull or push.

You gotta push that metal clip really hard on the side that it clips on.

You need to push down on with a flat head screwdriver...than when it's down move it over and let go...it should come off than just take the other side off. (DO NOT PRESS HARD on the screwdriver if it isn't moving stop, if you slip and go into the motherboard you will break it!)
if you're going to be putting on a new heatsink, lap it and then make sure to get a stick of Artic Silver 5 or something. Don't put on a heatsink without thermal paste or thermal compound between the CPU die and the heatsink.

Also, you're going to want to get all of the thermal paste off of the CPU die before you apply a new layer before putting on a new heatsink.
