Ah... it's listed under Bell, despite being badged as a Siemens router. Darn rebadging. =)

i went to BYOND hosting configuration and I chose my router. It tells me to go to http://[my-static-IPadress] but when i try to go there, it wont connect.

you *are* replacing that [my static ip address] with the actual number right? :)

usually it's one of these combos:

192.168.2.1
192.168.2.2
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.2
10.0.0.1
10.0.0.2

check your modem/router manual to be sure.

You want to enter your router's IP address into the web browser, not your computer's IP address.

yes.It says: By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.254.254. when i try to connect to that it doesnt work.

On that portforward page it shows 3 IP address here they are

10.0.0.2 In the IE image which is obivously your modem/router

192.168.254.254. - as recommended

and

192.168.62.1 in the login picture try those..
In response to A.T.H.K
none of them will work

10.0.0.2 -- Connection timed out.

192.168.254.254. -- Could not connect.

192.168.62 -- Connection timed out.

theres just no hope for me configuring my router =(

Go Start->Run, type in cmd and click OK. In the black command prompt that appears, type ipconfig and press Enter. There should be a line saying "IP address", and another line saying "Gateway".

Try browsing to the IP address that's displayed next to "Gateway".
