How would I install BYOND on my server?

I bout a domain webserver thing from Avahost. And I want to know how I can install BYOND on it? It runs on linux.

Ask your host - be careful though, my last host booted me because BYOND was 'spyware', other than that it can be done quite easily through FTP in linux.

Well I put the files on there using FTP. How do I run them?

The way you'd run them normall (ie; like local files). At least that worked for me.

if it's a 'webhost' the only thing that BYOND programs will do is just sit there and look pretty. you need access to the server via a shell account of some sort so that you can actually install BYOND in your account. after that you can use Dan's built-in hosting script to start/stop games via a browser. details are in the BYOND package as a README file.
