Icon Programs

does anybody know of any good paint programs(like icoFX)that can make icons 450 pixels and bigger?

Uh... you mean like Paint? =)

Paint Shop Pro (not free), Photoshop (expensive), The Gimp (free)... there are dozens of image editors out there.

Paint.net is good and free ,but you need 2.0.net framework

Second'd for graphics gale. It's geared specifically towards sprites and such.

I used to uyse Paint.NET too. It was pretty cool, but it somewhat slow. Not very because it's hardly noticeable, but y'know.
