Lately, I've been trying to play this game called Maplestory but I'm having display problems. Before I installed the update to my display driver, the monitor would go black at the title screen, but now it goes black after a few seconds of gameplay. After going through some troubleshooting provided by microsoft(lowering hardware acceleration and disabling write combining) the game won't even come up at all displaying "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D". Does anyone have any insight on how to fix the display problem while still allowing me to continue playing the game without the purchase of additional hardware?

Try downgrading them , most the time for me upgrading screws up my settings i don't know why.

It didn't work at all before upgrading but you're saying downgrading after upgrading would work?

Don't know what you problem is, but why does thier website require IE? There should never be a reason to exlude other major browsers. If it can be done in IE, it can also be done in most other browsers.
Sorry, that just angered me a little when they basicly said "We don't want to bother with making a proper site". Anywho, are you sure you meet the requirments? |

I'm pretty sure. I played it earlier last year(but stopped because of this problem) on the same computer and nothing has changed on my computer besides a decrease in space..

but why does thier website require IE? Because they suck. It actually works perfectly fine in Firefox if you turn off Javascript. There's a gap at the top of the page and you miss out on some annoying Flash banners is all. So not only did they code in a pointless browser check, they didn't even do it properly. Unfortunately parts of their site break with Javascript turned off, so it doesn't even work in IE half the time. Lazy bastards. I'd go and yell at them until they removed it, but you have to sign up for an account to send them support emails and to be honest I really can't be bothered. If they want to exclude technically-minded people by blocking non-IE browsers, they're only hurting themselves. |
