Making Money on Byond

What exactly are the rules for makin money with byond? I know that you can't make a DBZ Game and make money with it, but what about RPG Maker characters and Music? Can I still make money offa taht , or is it illegal like the DBZ thing?

Do you own the rights to the icons and sounds?

No, but Mystic Journey uses old RPGMaker Icons, and they make money off it. So, tahts illegal?

No, it's not legal. They do not own the rights to the icons, so therefore, it isn't legal in even US laws, besides BYOND rules.

But, what can you do? It's up to the admins.

Now what if they were explicitly donating to the creator, and not to the game, yet they know the creator through playing the game?

I believe they're not allowed "donations" either. They're still accepting money through the game.

Would they be getting donations if they never made the game in the first place?

If I walked up to you on the street and shoved a five in your pocket, would you say, "Woh, man, I can't accept this. I use RPGMaker icons." ?

Yeah, I guess there's not much to do to stop someone from doing that.
