Well, I meant it only would be good as far as parents go ;p being able to set a password for there kids.

If trash isn't allowed here, then why are the Zeta rips still around? I think they need to destroy them all before they kill HH...but that's just my opinion.
In response to Govan
There is a difference between trash, and filth.

BYOND has a reputation to uphold, especially with the hopes of future advertising, and a larger player base with version 4.0 on the way.

And a lot of people complain about Zeta rips, then people complain that people are complaining about them. I think the hub needs cleaned as I know a lot of people do, but it's clear the administrators just do not have time to determine what should be deleted, what should stay, and so forth.

Plus there are way too many Zeta rips out on the hub for them all to be deleted, and even if it came to be people would just create more hub entries. The staff did a great job of deleting the problem from the source literally, but people have just made more hub entries containing the Zeta src code. (I can't currently find any so, maybe they have been completely abolished.)

So, yeah anyways umm. I forgot what I was going to say. =/

I just think we should wipe ALL hub entries totally clean, start over.

Yeah, we will loose good libaries and demos, but someone else can always remake them.

Then the administrators could place in a new filter system, where they have to approve things before having them added.
In response to Flame Sage
But then most of the classics would be gone, because either the people don't get on anymore, or they have lost the files.

He just made that hub entry today.

Wouldn't making stuff like this warret for a BYOND Ban or something? (Not perm, but atleast for a while?)
In response to Flame Sage
I'd say a month or two ban would serve its purpose, the first time. After all, that is failing to comply with the BYOND Staff. Continual failure to do so should warrant a much more lasting ban, I'd think.

When I was younger(I only had dial-up access to the Net via my Dad's house, which I visited once every 2 weekends), I'd spend all day at my Dad's unsupervised and online. It depends on the strictness of the parents(heck, my Dad's the kind of hippie guy that'd let me do anything, and still would).

Hiead

Well, just because your dad did not take responcibility, it doesn't mean that he shouldn't have. Especialy with dialup, he would be able to easly choose to put in his password every time, making it impossible for you to get onto the internet without his help. My parents where very lacks on my about my internet use, mostly because the computer was right there in the living room, so if I was doing anything too bad, they could see, but there was a large ammount of time that I was unsupervised. But I was a good kid, and they knew that I knew right from wrong, and I was about 11 when we got our first computer, so it wasn't like I was completely inocent(not exactly to the porn age, but not far off). My parents knew that, if nothing else, I would not find something on the internet that would change me in a bad way, because I knew right from wrong and good from bad(granted, those lines can get hazy from time to time, but normally only in lesser events).
My point is, it is the parents job, weather they do it or not, to keep thier kids safe, not DanTom's. The tools are out there, they are just too lazy to use them. Just like people complaining about TV when any TV sold in the last 10+ years has what is known as a "V-Chip", capible of blocking out channels based on ratings and requiring a 4 digit pin to unlock it. Once again, the tools are out there, and are not a secret, but people just arn't using them(Granted, blocking out websites is not nearly as easy, but IE has a basic autofilter on it, and as long as you don't have FireFox or something else installed, they should not be able to easly get past it).

Ironically IE users are far more likely to be subjected to porn (usually unwillingly) than Firefox users.

Yay for browser hijacks.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Yeah- let's go and burn nearly a decade of useful resources and hard work!

ZBT is ancient and very, very useful. So is My First Home (I think that's the name) and a Step BYOND.

They deserve a permanent ban. They know what they are doing. I knew this was going to happen.

Pyr0 got warned for the hub entry and it was suppressed. He was told that any further hub entries for Hentai Hill would result in a BYOND ban--and that applies to others besides him. Their entire community can consider themselves amply warned.

The next twit to try to sneak Hentai Hill on the hub will join Strai permanently outside of it.

Well, Im 13 and have my own computer in my own room and my own door that closes and locks, and the computer is password protected with my password which noone knows. Very supervised, yes?
In response to ADGryphonKnight
This does not change the fact that it is your parents job to supervise you. I am not responsible if you find something on my site that changes you in a ill way, your parents are to blame. Now granted, if I said "ADGryphon, click here for something really cool" and gave you a link to that life changing whatever, then I might understand the blame laying on me, somewhat. Even then, had your parents been watching you, they probably would have caught that it was suspecius, and if you did click it, they would be there to reassure you that the world is flat and all things are static, and new information should be shunned at all costs.

OK, so maybe I am looking into this too far, but you are 13, in days of the past and still on other countrys, you would be considered a man, most likely married and with children on the way if your body was developed enough. To me, nothing a 13 year old sees should shock him(Well, within reason, I understand that things do get a little shocking for any age). What we should be looking to protect is the 8 year olds like mentioned before, but once again, that is the parents job.

Can playboy be sued because a father left his naughty videos within reach and Jr. got ahold of them? Well, it would probably hit the courts, but that father would never win. The same goes with the Internet. It is a vast box of videos and pictures, mostly ones that should not be seen by youngens, and if parents don't want their kids seeing them, they should not let them on in the first place. This is a topic I am very adamant about because I am tired of my civil liberties being threatened because somebody doesn't want to parent their kids. I am of age to view all legal pornographic material, and do just about anything not prohibited by law, so I don't want things getting removed just because somebody doesn't want to be a parent.

Take cable TV for example. Everyday, it seems, the FCC is cracking down on what can and can't be said. But this is a service I PAY for. It is not something my kids(if I had them) could watch if I felt they should not, because I simply not pay for it, and the problem would be gone. Along side that, they add V-Chips to TVs and Cable Boxes to allow parents to filter what their kids see.

Let me state this though, I am not necessarily advocating Hentai Hill's right to be on the hub. It is up to the BYOND staff to deem what is appropriate, so if they say it is not allowed, it isn't, that is their choice, and I completely understand. I personally have never been in Hentai Hill and do not know, to a full extent, what the content is. I would guess, however, that along side of being generally pornographic, it also breaches many copyright laws with pictures(probably hand drawn and ripped from TV/DVD) containing copyrighted characters.

I feel that our right to freedom is very important, but freedom has its responsibilitys. One of which it to make sure those that you must watch over are properly watched over.

Mind making that readable with a few paragraphs? =P

I added a second return after paragraphs. I have troubles with creating "Giant Walls of Text" I am a GWTer for sure.
