On my downstairs computer programs open, and close by there selves, and websites get redirected. I think I could possible have a virus. =D

What should I do?
Well, Throw the computer in the trash and buy a new one.
Virus scan? If that dosn't work and all else fails you could reformat, but that should be a last resort.

I have four computers this one is about 7 years old I just use it for school. So, I don't wanna really buy a new computer just for school things.

Disconnect yourself from the internet in case it's someone someone watching what you're doing and giving commands through a trojan. If it's not random, and it is someone sending commands, then a simple disconnect should thwart them while you scan.

If it keeps up even while disconnected, start in safe mode and try a scan from there.
Well, what fun that must be. =P

Anyways, I'd say you do have malware(it's not a ghost in your computer). =P It kinda fits the description of something that Norton caught for me once(on one of the rare cases it's protected me); Norton sent me to a virus description saying I'd been blocked from a worm that closes programs and such....And then the last piece of malware I had always opened up a browser window to some advertisement every few minutes. So, yeah. 'Tis the season for malware. =D

For a solution, I'd say you should probably go check out Spybot Search & Destroy, restart your computer in Safe mode, and run a scan.

After that, try following the solutions that others pointed me to in the thread of [link] . That one file Scoobert pointed to me really needed changing.

In the end, if it comes down to it, you could always reformat your PC. It's pretty much a surefire way to assure you've killed everything. You may want to back up some things, but be careful you don't back up any traces of your malware! xD
