Intel or AMD

I know this. I was wondering if someone could design a motherboard that would have 2 CPU sockets, one made for an AMD proc and one for an intel proc(or I suppose someone could just buy two mobos and hook them together >_>)

Ahh. The way each processor processes is different though. Intel, Mac, AMD, it doesn't matter. Each would need a specific chipset for each processor on the board, and probably a seperate BIOS. I'm not even sure if it's an idea that would be worth trying.

I've been reading this thread, and was wondering if I have a "AMD Athalon(tm)XP 2500+ 1.83GHz, 512 of RAM", what do I need to improve first? I'm trying to get this comp to run games like the upcoming Savage 2, Battlefield 2, and generally all new PC games coming out to market. I was going to buy a new video card, but is the real problem my processor?

GFX and ram need to be upgraded. the XP 2000+ is fine for now.
