Those prices are bs, some place I saw had OC-48 at like 1000 a month. -.- Don't forget the price that it costs to lay an OC line or a T-# line. It's possible that the site's information is old, too. |

Megabytes?
or Kilobytes? |
Amazing how I got so many replies XD. So I take it mostly business and such use OC?(I also have rr we pay around 30 or so a month(We have a package deal for digital cable, digital phone, and the cable net))I also like to point out I find speedtest to be inaccurate...Since the fastest I can get d/l to go genrally is about 400kb/s mabey...(I know mine is a little slower but it shouldn't be that much)

"My cable's faster than that (just about 2x as much) and it's only $50 per month USD."
I call BS! Only Japan and some other nations get 100Mbps connections to the home on fiber. The fastest cable internet in the US is 20Mbs down and 2Mbs up! (And that’s in testing) you most defiantly mean 300Kbs! which is slow as Charter is one of the slowest cable internet providers. The fastest home connection period, in the US, is version FIOS 30 Mbps/5 Mbps for $200. Past that you need to pay for an OC line!. Here is the fastest and only offering from charter cable: 3Mbps downstream 256Kbps upstream |

We're geeks. Comparing our connection speeds is comparable to normal people comparing the length of their phallus. :p

That's what I got on run 1...but it changes from test to test.
Also, I'm on RoadRunner, and that is about $50 USD, or something. I'm on the $29.95 or something for the first 6 months that you get when you first sign up. And it would be much faster if I wasn't connected via a Wireless B connection.
