Hello all, My civ2 disc has been scratched to ****. I was woundering if there is any way I can still play it? I was thinking of a disc cleaner maybe. Any one knows of any that work? That or maybe a downloadable version of civ2.

I downloaded & played FreeCiv. But that game crashes every time I play. Not too sure why. I guess my OS is just out of date.

Thanks for any help.

Unless you wanna try something i think is illegal id clean the hell out of that disc till it worked where i live moviegallery cleans games and movies for free and they have this big cleaner thing
if you want to do something illegal and civ 2 is on your computer download a no cdkey crack.
Civ 2 is such an old game I think you can download it in a lot of places.I don't know any off hand but, I have many Civ 2 CDs myself and you don't NEED the CD to play it. I think there's just extra movies and music on the disc, i've played it before without the CD.

Besides, why are you stuck playing Civ 2 when Civilization 3 has been out for such a long time, and Civilization 4 is coming out soon? There are things I like better in Civ 2 though, such as those advisor movies and you upgrade your throne room instead of the entire palace, etc.

Well Im not up on all the Civ stuff lately. Didn't even know they had a three. I got he cd like 5 years ago as a gift. Then I poped it out of the cd 2 days ago cause I just moved. I didn't have the internet then so I thought it would make a good game too play. Then it brings up this blue screen when I install it saying. This disc needs to be cleaned. So you can download the game? What do I do? I don't want to do any thing illegal.

Downloading the game is illegal. There's ceratin things that can repair scratches on a disc, but I don't think major scratches can be repaired.

That's Civilization 3's website, if you have some money you should just buy that one, it has online play and different features. Any civilization game is very time-consuming, though.

Although, like I said, i'm pretty sure you can play it without the CD.
