My laptop gets so hot after I use it for a while, is it dangerous? Can it harm my computer if it gets too hot for too long?

Well, my moms laptop gets so hot it shuts itself off if you try to play games with it on a surface. They make lift kits for laptops(not sure if that is the exact name, but that is what it does). Uhoh...next thing you know, rednecks will start wrapping it in camo duct tape, and putting big mud tires on it. Watch your self! |
I live in North Carolina, we are south(dispite the name) and the sad fact is, most people are dropping trucks now, not lifting them.

My mum and dad's laptops do that too. They say I shouldn't rest the laptop on my lap without protection, or my sperm count will drop.
=| My family are weird. |
Well, if your lap caught on fire, I guess that wouldn't be good for your reproductive systems...
Yeah, laptops on soft surfaces is a bad idea generally, which is ironic considering their name. Laptops that you can't rest on your lap? I'm surprised someone hasn't been sued for false advertising already. ;-P |

Mines in my lap right now. >.> Infact, I like the heat. :D lol. Well, my friend has like this wooden board with a soft cusion on the bottom. It is called a 'lap desk' (I alsways thought it sounded stupid) but he puts his laptop on it and uses it that way. |
I normaly prop her laptop on the edge of a small box or something.
