Just as expensive. The data sent from them to you, containing their location would cost bandwidth, just like a normal page would.

It's not BYOND you'd pay for, though, but just the pager and some other perks. (It also covers a BYONDscape subscription, which is cool.)

besides maybe your right , Dan and tom Deserves the money after running byond for free for 5 years.

Who knows, maybe sometime in the future they will become free again, only time will tell.

The full pager won't really ever be free again; it was already free for too long. This new system will cut down or eliminate most of the admin problems the pager has caused us, and there's no other feasible way to do that without some sort of entry barrier, i.e. membership dues.

I've never even used the pager. I don't even know where the heck it is. So apparently i can live w/o it, why can't everyone else?
