hi guys i have a problem. how do i find my byond id

I may be incorrect here.. But your 'key' is your BYOND ID.

Other than that.. your computer has its own address that can act as an ID. Called CID (which you can find by building a quick world in DM)

I want to join a whitelisted server. The server staff asked me for a byond id, will there be any problems if I share the key file you described?

The key name on the website here.(your account) should be enough to whitelist you for basic needs(I am unsure how ss13 whitelists they use multiple ways)

But! The CID number I pointed you towards is also strictly the PC you are on RIGHT-NOW. Whitelisting that number will make your computer playable with any account(as long as they use CID)

Ask them to clarify if they mean CID or BYOND key.
