As the topic states, it's about a girl. There's this girl named Laura - she's a rather nice girl (gorgeous too!). I really like her but, I found out she'll be going back to Germany this Friday - she's an exchange student. I don't know what to do - ask her for her phone number, e-mail, etc...Because, I'd like to stay in contact with her but, not seem too "weird". Any suggestions?

Heh, subtle Nirvana reference in your title? :P And as Wiz said, ask for her e-mail or something. It'd seem less awkward than phoning her. Atleast that's what I think.

E-mail is a good way of keeping in contact, and if you don't mind the incredibly large phone bills and can pay for it. Ask her for her phone number.
|
I also just found out a girl I also really like is moving..... To the northwest territories.
|
Meh, same thing happened to me, except it was me who moved. Take it from someone who knows, if you don't at least find out, you may not get the luxury again.

She's about to leave, so you've got nothing to lose. Go up to her and get her phone number. Don't worry about the MSN details and stuff like that for three reasons.
First, you can get them via the phone later. Second, contacting a girl you like with anything less than a phone call is just weak. Third, you'll come off a little desperate asking for all her info. Alternatively you could always just ask for contact details to keep in touch, and she'll give you what ever she feels comfortable with. |
There's nothing weird about keeping in contact. If you know her, just randomly bring up the subject, and then mention it'll be a shame to lose contact, and then exchange contact details.
If you don't know her... make your move soon! |
Well, I got her number, and her e-mail too! Here's how it went:
Me: Hey, mind giving me your e-mail so when you get back home - we can stay in touch? I promise, I will only e-mail you 10 times a day. Her: Haha. Ok, sure. //She begins writing Me: And, hey while you're at it - mind if I can snag your number too? Her: Sure! Chuck: 1 Laura: 0 No but, really...now I'm gonna plan on asking her out to do something fun before she leaves Friday. ^_^ I hope to take her out to dinner, and maybe a go-kart track! And, if you're wondering what's the deal with the go-karts, she's only 17 & over in Germany, they can't get their license's until they're atleast 18 & she's never driven any type of vehicle before. And, I'm gonna try & find a vacant lot of some sort to let her test drive my car (By the way, if you don't know - I own a very rare & expensive car - so, wish me luck!). =D |

Sounds like it's going good so far, congrats.
Nice idea with the go-karts. Good luck with your car ;-) |

I thought computer game nerds were the last people you'd ask for help with girls. |

Nice, if you had really wanted to make her laugh, you could have asked for her address... And then maybe mentioning that if she didn't look too hard, she'd not notice you hiding in her bushes...
I dunno, you have the right approach. Any girl is attainable if you can make her laugh. Albeit, it can be hard sometimes, as some girls are too stupid to grasp most humour. |

lol A few weeks ago this 12 year old came in Chatters asking advice on how to ask out this girl he liked- and how to tell whether she liked him back. Mertek gave him the info and knowledge he needed. |

Maybe the toilet seat was a sign...

Odd. There's a German foreign exchange student named Laura in my school too.

Well it depends.... you didn't try to make her wear it like a necklace did you?

Elation, the TRUE Cassanova.
I gave one of my girlfriends a long time ago a wilted flower for valentines day... Boy, I sure scored with that one, as you can probably tell :P At this day, that girl is now an easily angered gothic... Coincedence? Meh, probably :P |
