What was the first game on BYOND and who made it? No particular purpose, I just wanna know.
Just search byond and Check the Creation Date. Earliest Game I found was 2000.

The hub was created after BYOND was created so that wouldn't help. It was called DUNG, you could use that website that searches old websites to help maybe.
My guess is either Dan or Tom made it, and they did so in order to test out their new game creation system. ;-)

If you're talking about the first real, complete game, then I have no idea.

Was it DUNG.com or what?

Spooky.

When I first found DUNG there was Chess and Nightsoil along with the A taste of DUNG demo. And as far as games not made by Dan or Tom I think my CTF1 game was one of the first complete games.

BEsides the total insanity behind a name called DUNG, why did BYOND ever change?

"total insanity behind a name called DUNG,"

How is that insane? I find it quite amusing, I personally would rather it still be named that. =D

DUNG isn't very marketable, unfortunately. =)

Really?

While cool, it's a tad embarrassing.
I'm sure you can think of many conversational situations akin to classic "Hey, my game's built with Dung!".

Now that put a grin on my face. It was cool, and I wish I had found BYOND back when it was DUNG, but like I said, the name was a little insane.

Hehe, a taste of DUNG... clever :)
