Its either your searching skills are lacking or there is nothing fun on FFXI. I haven't played it but really want to. From other people I heard it kicked major butt. And they have been a reliable source for good games for years.

O.o

O.O uhhh *shrugs* My IQ is higher than average but I missed like all my logic questions.

People need to stop thinking IQ directly represents a person's intelligence, or that IQ tests are reliable for that matter.

FFXI isn't good. The big drawing point is that is is Final Fantasy, and let's face it, FF games have been going down hill for awhile. 8 was the worst one since 2 for NES, and X-2 was almost as bad as 8.

FFXI is a great game. It is new(well, not new anymore) and inventive to the MMORPG world. I have seen better games, but never seen a better MMORPG. You don't have to like it, but that doesn't mean it is a horrible game. It simply means that you don't like it. The only thing that makes it FF like is the creatures and classes. When it comes down to it though, they could have dropped the FF title and called it something else, and it would have still been a great game, and very popular.

IX was one of the best in the series, and X, although far too easy, was enjoyable and innovative.

FFIX was the best in my opinion. =/
FFX had a great and near original storyline, as did FFIX.

That's what made them so fun to play. :)

IX was alright, but nothing mind-blowing.
X being linear and far too easy is what takes it down a notch from others in the past. FF7, while horribly over-worsshipped now, was new in many ways which drew people ot it, same with Tactics.
FF8 had that god awful draw system and monsters that stayed your level, letting you hit level 99 in about 20 hours, if that. Ix was fine, but didn't have the kind of impact 7 or tactics did, or ff6 for that matter. Playing X was like playing Mystic Quest. Fun, linear, and stupidly easy. Again, not as good as some of the predicessors. You know a game is suffering when you ask people what the best part of the game is, and their say the card game(ff8) or blitzball(ffx).

I won't go into X-2. It was just simply terrible.

My point was FF games are going down hill, not that they hit rock bottom(which it did with ff8, but since Square was made of rubber, it boucned a decent hieght into the air (ff9), then hit into a hillside(FFX), and rolled off a cliff(FFX-2/FFTA)).

IX still falls behind 6 and 4. 3 was pretty good for its time.

I think anything after FF6 was a waste of time, sure I've played and beat them; but none of them were as fun as the classic SNES/NES games.

Ever tried FF9. That one, in many ways, was similar to the SNES Final Fantasies.

Except the main character was a wannabe Saiyan... :P

Hmmm I never played 6 or 4 or 3 or much any of the low number ones. I only started palying FF when 7 first came out. Is 6,4 and the others really that good? arn't they 2d Graphics?

What system are they for?
In response to Green Lime
Graphics are for people who don't like a good game... :p
You can actually get them all on the playstation I believe.

Its worth the money I hear its a great game.

If you don't like XI or the others, just wait until XII. I heard it going to be......Spactacular. >_>

1-3 are for the NES, but dont play ff2j, it's terible, even the remakes are bad. you'll need to find a translation of ff3j.
ff4(ff2 in the US), 5 and 6 are for the SNES. You'll need a translated rom of ff5 tho, since it wasn't released here*.

* You can get 1-6 on PS collectors Cds, but the roms are still better, the PSX ff6 removed the feature where you keep xp when you die(fun for early powerleveling), and the load time can add hours of playtime by the time you beat it.
In response to Nathandx82
Your characters actually didn't get stat increases (ignoring HP/MP gains) in FF6 without the use of espers, so powerleveling them early would leave them with mediocre high levels.
