I scored a 26 on the ACT. Sadly, it was the second highest in my school. One of my good friends scored one point better than me. I figured she would, though.

Have any of you taken that boring test?
ACT?

Wuzzat?

He's right, it's boring. I couldn't finish the reading section of it because the stories were.. well lame. I still managed to get a 25 =P

Sounds like something similar to England's CATS.

It's a American college entrance examination (test) used mostly in the midwest, it's not as widely used as the SAT's which the majority of schools across the nation use.
You did good then. they say that nearly half of all test takers fall in the 17–23 range on the ACT site.

Heh, close.

CATS are tests they force little kids to take (they are year 7...so...that's....10/11/12 (or something) years old).

They are stupidly easy Tick The Box questions, because they are calculated by computers.

I think I scored kinda highly, around 110-125 in most subjects.

No, that's different. Each state has their own one of those here. Ours is called the MAP test, it's really only used to see if you are up to snuff. The ACT and SAT are used by colleges to see if you do well enough to get in.

17 here.
I scored a 31, I'm not sure where it ranked in my class, but I'd bet there were some higher (the next year, a coworker of mine took it, and she scored a 33)... They told us that in this area, schools look more heavily at the ACT than they do the SAT, so I never even bothered with the SAT...

My ACT score (along with my very good academic record) got me accepted into Ohio State with honors the year after I graduated (and I definitely was accepted on academics alone... I participated in virtually no extracurriculars throughout high school)...

But, it was all for naught, because I wasn't quite prepared for the changes... I had no major, I was used to not having to work for my grades, and I'm too much of a night owl... I ended up staying up too late most of the time, and sleeping when I should have been going to class, or just not applying myself when I did manage to go to them...

So that didn't get me very far... Only into a fairly hefty chunk of debt from student loans...lol

I'm actually going to a college directly connected to Ohio State -- Shawnee State. And good job on the score. I think I could've did better had I not screwed around during my early years in high school, or if I was just in a better school. Our school was nearly shut down for such bad academics. I was lucky enough to get out of their and go to a vocational school, where I've learned 3 times as much. 3/4th of my 11th grade year was spent catching up in almost every subject, but I did it! Now I'm a straight A student.
