While you are at it, lock all your doors, board up your windows, and hide in the closet in the middle of your house. Why? Because the whole world is like that. There are morons, most of them have some power which they shouldn't, and the are smart people, who normaly have less power. Why? The stupid people out number the smart people.

That explains how Bush won the election...

Being smart doen't mean you should have power, that is why Kerry lost.

Maybe he stole a key on a laggy zeta rip, made a hack threat, then the host's friend called you a noob, so he told him noob wasn't an insult, and then insulted the guy for real calling him a name immaturely, then the host banned him.

(You left a few out, had to contribute. =P)

Well, based on your logic, the dumb people should have power then? Just like in 90% of all BYOND games. But, I guess you are right about dumb people in power though, cause we are stuck with Bush for the next four years.

U do have a point byond is a hacker dream add the game and hacker can get the ppl IP address their are zeta rip still going around IP adress should be taking off from the add world I don't really play byond anymore sense im playing starwars galaxies now.

His post wasn't as bad as some people I've seen. I think he said this

You do have a point, BYOND is a hacker dream. Put a game up and hackers can get your IP address. There are zeta rips still going around. IP adress should be taking off from the add world*. I don't really use BYOND anymore since I'm playing Starwars Galaxies now.

*I wasn't sure what this sentence meant.

Well, is point is stupid. You can get anyone's IP adress from anywhere on the internet. Secondly, if hackers are going to get into your computer, they are going to. The best defense against hackers? Keep your computer turned off while not in use. So long as you monitor it while it is on, and then shut it down while it isn't being used, you should be fine.

And there aren't a lot of smart people on BYOND that have an urge to hack. Any of them that claim to know how to hack are full of it, and most of the people that know how to hack wouldn't do it --they learned how to hack from learning how to protect themselves from hackers.

A programmer's job is to create, not destroy, anyone that hacks another programmer is a travesty to this community, and I'm sad to say, should be shot.

Not to draw this off into a political debate, but in Scoobert's case, he was referring to how Bush was a crappy leader and Kerry was a variable leader. (Well, probably not, since I think Scoob thinks Bush is a capable leader, but since I'm only biased by way of being liberal, I have a bit more neutrality on the matter.) Neither, in the undecided middle's eyes, would have made very good presidents.

However, my money was on Kerry, because aside from being intelligent, he wasn't making a bunch of "nothing's wrong, we won't change much" promises. The United States turned a surplus into a $5 trillion deficit in Bush's first term. Clearly something was wrong. Plus, intelligent leaders change their decisions as new variables become evident. If I decided to fly east, and found a giant mountain in my flight path, I wouldn't claim that I'm remaining true to my convictions and hope that the mountain blows up before I get there, and proclaim that people are either with me or against me. That's not leadership, that's the first sign of a brain tumour. ;-)

Too late. Honestly, I think four years from now that Hillary Clinton will become the first female president. She played it smart by not involving herself in this election, because Bush has already brain washed the majority of voters. Since this has to be Bush's last term, Hillary will be running against a bunch of nobodies, and almost anything she can promise would be better than anything Bush has done if he continues at this rate.

No, you took what I said in made it fit to what you where saying. I said: "Being smart doen't mean you should have power, that is why Kerry lost." I did not say beind dumb should give you power. Look at evil genuises. They are very smart, but I don't want them to run my country. Kerry is intellegent, I will admit that, but that doesn't mean I want him running my country. I didn't like either canadate though, I just knew that Bush could only do so much, because he is not smart enought to find all the loop holes to get what he wants done. Ok, I think we both got our point across, lets stop dragging the thread off topic.

good example today is:

kids seem to take pleasure out of doing such things without caring about consequences for them or others.

usually i would not advocate smacking such children around (might cause more brain damage, and my insurance won't cover that), but the internet makes it *way* too easy for punks like this to bounce around games causing trouble since they know they will likely get away with it.

i say let the beatings begin! >:)

True! I've used it before in an old game.
