Can a game be published if it has huge Zeta traces and they say they don't even is they are blatent like only changing maps or something. I have quickly learned to despise these game and I was wondering.

If it has even ONE bit of Zeta trace, it should be taken off of the hub immediately.
I'm not a moderator, but I am going with no it can not be published(Well it can, but it will be removed sooner or later), if it uses any of Zetas programming then it is not allowed, or at least if the person who modified it didn't have permission to use it. Thats still theft since the creator is using something that doesn't belong to him/her.
They can publish them all they want. Unfortunatly, no rule has been set not to allow them to do such things...
We don't publish DBZ games.

Amen.

Actually, it has. And many entries have been deleted for just that.

Correction. There's a big difference between posting a game on the hub, and having a published game.

Fan games will not be added to the published channels (which require review) unless they obey the rules of fan foo.

Once enough people provide the donations to the Byond Staff so they can make a team to sit there and remove zeta "traces" from the hub all day, that will happen.

If it were promised here and now, I'd volunteer, and donate ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Plus, I'd volunteer to be on the team that would parse through it.

If they accepted volunteers I'd do it, I have nothing better to do :P

I will too.
In response to Hell Ramen
I would too but how do we get Dantom's attention?
In response to Blue Scourge
Easy, infact, this thread might spread attention to them if they have read it; Knowing byond, one of the staff members has certainly read it by now.
In response to Kaga-Kami
I will!

Let me sign up.

Then maybe Mike H. (or someone on Dantom's staff) could change the "Publish Games" link to a "Post Games" link, or something.

The problem is, who's to say who can volunteer. By doing that, you're opening up the possibility of just anybody volunteering and deleting anything they want. For now, if you find a rip, email [email protected] about it, and hopefully, it will be deleted.

Actually...email is an automatic response. You would have to use a support ticket. Just type in support in the Forum Search and look for any green name posting it =P

We're not currently looking for anyone right now.
