Ever bought a game that ended up costing you over $772? Well, the other day i was walking down town and decided i would stop in my local Woolworths store. I saw a nice PC Game called Rome: Total War. I bought it, it cost me £35 or so. I didnt really check the specs because i was kind of in a hurry. So, i took this game home installed it and ran it. Didnt work, checked the specs and saw i needed a new graphics card. Bought a nice new one for £44. As the graphics card was being delivered i also noticed i needed a better processor. When buying a processor you also need a heatsink and fan. I decided i would NOT buy the processor and continued to www.dell.co.uk where i bought a brand new computer for £370. It is being delivered in 7-10 days and i can finally play my GAME!!!! This totalled me to around £430 which is about $772 for all you Americans. This game better be good.....

Figures. |
Well, I am realising that you people did not just spend all that money on the game itself. You bought other parts too. Well, I bought a video game that cost $500 itself. It is called Steel Battalion. It is for the X-Box. Amazing game, if I say so myself.

Yes, very cool game.
200 dollar controller, and the game itself costs 100. (So i don't know why you said 500.) |

Heh, TNT2, I had one of those...two graphics cards ago. Go for a ATI 9800SE if you want a cheep card that works well. PowerColor boards can be soft moded to run like a 9800Pro/XT. They are about $150 at http://www.newegg.com .
Oh ya, I have the GuildWars beta as well. Maybe we will end up on the same server, I have not got to join in yet. |

I got it for $500 because it was sold out. So I had to buy it very far away. A lot of shipment costings, and more than one.

The "Raptors" are newer 10,000 RPM HDDs. I hear they go out fast, so it might be best to wait until they are more accurate. I'm buying an 80 gig one for $180 free S&H. =P |

Integrated graphics suck. Not good for 3D more than normal web applets, not not even some of them. They share CPU and RAM with your main system as well.

Right now, I'm wondering how I'll be able to play Guild Wars at a decent frame rate. All I really need is a better graphics card and, since the one I have is so old, it should only be another $25-$50 to get one that will work. It's not like I have money to spend on it though. I'll probably be playing the free preview with a single-digit frame rate on my TNT2 later this month. Just like the last preview... which was still fun.
