We have been working on Seika 22.6 for some time now and have redone pretty much everything. So, we've come to conclusion that the best idea would be to turn it into Seika II. This then leads to us being able to make a Seika III in the future using the features we originally had plan for the old Seika II. The once Seika 22.5b, which was just going to be bug fixes, will now be given new features to keep the original Seika alive. Many people have been waiting a long time for Seika II and were going to have to wait a good 6 months for it, but now they don't have to wait very long. We plan to release it into testing in a month or so! To sum it all up, Seika 22.6 will not be the "New Seika" but will have some new features. The "New Seika" will now be called Seika II.

Sounds like a good plan.
I feel like I knew about this. :|
Somehow I think this will confuse some people. Heh, I liked seika II a lot ... This better be just as good.
Seika II was about 8% done when it was last up. The new Seika II will be a lot better than that 8% one, but will probably not be better than if that old Seika II were to be 100% done. One thing that the new Seika II will not be better in, is graphics. The graphics are better than Seika, but not as good as the old Seika II. Then Seika III will have way better graphics than the old Seika II had. Confusing? I know. We are confusing people!
Dang, JackGuy signed off of AIM before I could show him my icons I was working on..
Im wondering, will seika 22.6(Seika II) are the graphics going to be in the Seika look or are they going to look like Seika II looked before it was taken off the hub?
The graphics will be better than the Seika graphics but not as good as the old Seika II graphics.
I always hated Seika's combat system... it had awesome graphics but no freakin gameplay.

Did you guys fix that problem in this new version? Or is it still the old attack verb (or icon) that you click over and over again?
I'll try seika again after the release if there is a lot of gameplay involving NPC's (including AI controlled monsters)... I won't play if it's main theme is once again PvP... I personally don't give a crap about players, I want to fight cool monsters from the abyss and stuff like that. I also don't care for skill systems unless there are some cool things to use these skills on.

I am wondering if I will be pleased with this next release, or if it's just PvP stuff again?
Is the development lacking because Xell vanished off the face of the earth? Last time I talked to him he flipped out, haven't seen him for about a year now.
The new Seika II has a doubleclick-the-mob based attack system. We may add some extra stuff to make it more exciting later on. As for Seika, it will stay pretty much the same. We want the old fans to keep the gameplay they like and introduce new gameplay to new users in Seika II.

Xell is just on a long break.
why not add a drop box system for spells like earthquake. The larger the drop box, the more spell power it takes. This way you can clear out groups of monsters at once. Or, allow you to create artificial walls with timers, etc... There's so much you could do rather then the automated attack system that is "so byond". Add some player skill to it :P
It's not automated. You have to double click the mob every time you want to "hit" them. And spells work the same way, you have to select the spell and then double click the mob you want to use it on.
I like ponies
That is pretty confusing, but it sounds good. Maybe.
It's not automated. You have to double click the mob every time you want to "hit" them.

But that doesn't require any skill. Try taking that quote and replacing "mob" with "p-bag", and you'll see what I mean. =P
I like it. I've only played Seika a few times because my comp causes any game I open to lag, but its fun and I like this idea for the new Seika. (or Seika II)

"I like ponies"
Either I'm forgetting something, or that was just pointless spam.
Heehee! Or try what I did with my Attack System in "Teh Blobz", and gave the enemies really fast and far-moving attack animations, and high HP! It makes Double Clicking that much more fun!
The new Seika II will have advanced AI mobs which allow them to randomly dart around you. And, you have to be facing the mob in order to attack it, so once the mob moves, you will have to move with it, which requires some skill. Mobs will also move away and cast spells on the users. PvP is already like that; players jump around the screen trying not to get hit, which requires skill to hit them or not be hit.
