RANT: Language used in pager / STAs / Idiotic behavior

I'd like to post a rant about all these idiots on the pager.

Just a few moments ago, "Wizzerck" paged me.
Here's a log:

Please limit your send-to-all pages to people that DO know about it.

If it weren't for me even politely trying to say to him to stop, he'd immidiatly started swearing at me. I can tell, because 80% of all BYOND users do like to swear often.

I'd like to request a feature to filter out pages if they contain too many people (like you can set it if the page you receive is sent to 10 people or more then you won't see it) and to filter out bad words (parental controls).

Also, how come people randomly sent messages to random people that don't know what they're talking about? Hmm..

A filter would be useless, they would just dodge it. The best advice I can give you is to set your pager to private and immediatly pager ban anyone who annoys you.

Please post your rants about "all the idiots" somewhere else, and stop using bandwidth and space to store it here.

Pager improvements are already in the works. If you have a problem with a user, you can simply pager ban them.

Had you structured your post in a way that was constructive and not derogatory ("I can tell, because 80% of all BYOND users do like to swear often." et cetera) I would have been less inclined to move and close this thread.
