Think that's a lot in a small package? At school, in some educational magazine (Up Front magazine, I do believe), I read about a college that specializes in nanotechnology. Well, they built a microscopic guitar. I find it very interesting.

Here's an article on it, or you can take the link to the college where it was developed for a little more in-depth information

Nice! Soon they'll be making nanomachines that reproduce themselves and eat up entire cities, like Chicago in Deus Ex: Invisible War... see, we have a lot to look forward to! ;-D
We had a lady come in for career day (it's one friday every month set a side for a person of a certain career to come in and speak to the class) and she had pictures of the nano guitar. She also had these little light bulb things (I think they were called vacuum tubes) that were used on the first computer. It was pretty cool, but I was the only one in the class interested.

Actually the scientist who originally came up with the gray goo theory renounced it just a couple weeks ago. I can't find a link to his recent paper but here's a somewhat up to date article covering some of the main reasons why it's just another techno-scare.

Heh, I don't really think it will ever happen. That bit of Invisible War is just really cool. =P
