You "win" a conversation by making up outrageous lies?
Not only did Bill Gates not buy Apple (though he did make an investment for reasons that made business sense), but the Mac DOES use file extensions (in fact file extensions of any size), supports more open standards than Windows (so "can only process it's own crap data" in fact applies more to Windows than the Mac), and many other things people are claiming it doesn't do.
Almost every complaint about the Mac listed here is years out of date, yet people keep making claims about a computer they haven't used in over five years. To repeat earlier statements, it really is like claiming that you can judge Microsoft today on Windows 95; worse it's like claiming DOS is how you can judge Microsoft today. Imagine if the Mac people were saying "Windows sucks because you don't have a windowing system and you have to type everything on a command-line...nah nah nah!"
It's fine not to like Macs; I can probably list more reasons than anyone here. But if you haven't used Mac OS X on a piece of modern Mac hardware, do yourself a favor and knock off the ignorant statements, because you are really making yourself look silly.
