Just a suggestion, but this would probably solve a lot of problems. Why not make a link on the sidebar called something like "Messenger" Or "BM". It would be like a chat room just for programmers. You would have to take a test to get a registration. Heres the idea played out...\

POP-UP appears asking user style of programming, lists: New Comer, Intermediate, Expert.

If the user selects New Comer then the user is directed to the chat room list and can chose which one to go in.

Different servers to allow less lag.

If the user selects Intermediate, the user is directed to a test form. The form has somehwere around 10 questions on programming that basically every programmer should know. If the user passes, then the user is directed to the intermediate room list.

The same goes for expert, except there are more questions and they are much harder.


This is just a broad description but I think it would be a good investment to BYOND. Though, I would suggest making it link to another web site, from byond of course. Just so as not to cross lag with users just surfing BYOND itself. I propose a vote. All who think this would be pretty cool, well, say so. If not, say so also. Just to give Dan and Tom an idea of how many people want this and how many don't I vote yes!
