Right you are, I meant that on January of this year the IAO was created.

How is it even possible that people go about their daily lives without protest?

Simple... My life is good... I've got everything I need, and I'm secure in that...

Whatever is going on with the laws of my country, or the policies of my country, unless it makes my life worse, I simply don't care...

Yes, that's an extremely poor attitude to have from the standpoint of civics, but it's true, and it works... In fact, it's the natural way for people to think... Unless something poses a threat to me, then it's not a problem... And nothing poses a threat to me until it directly and negatively impacts my life... And thus far, things are still just fine...

So, I've got no desire to protest the goings on that have no direct effect on myself...

And I'm not alone in this mindset... It's probably the same opinion that all of the other people who aren't out protesting have... And there are a lot of us...

I am well aware that to have progress, it takes people who have a drive to change the world, even if it doesn't directly affect them... So I can respect those that are out there trying to make a difference... I'm just not one of them...

Regardless of the details, the bottom line is that my life hasn't seen a single drop of a negative impact from any of these "evil" doings in our government...

And unless something does happen that negatively effects my life, then I see no problem...

Thank you ver much for confirming my theory about humanity. How can you have such a cold disconnected view of life? And why is your life good? America is just embarassing. Even though money may not be bad, the allocation of who gets money is so screwed up that you have to protest. For example, Brad Pitt get 60 million dollars for making three movies, now tell me is that fair? While the workers who actually make our contry and economy work will be lucky to see 1 million dollars in their entire life. How is life good now? I'm not mad when people like Bill gates or John Rockefeller make money, because they simply used the capitalist system and actually had legitimate reasons to be rich. But tell me, why should brad pitt have millions of dollars? This is all screwed up.

All I have to say is may god have mercy on the souls of everyone.

Just wait, do nothing, see the problem, and THEN be too late to do a thing about it. (expect maybe crossing the border)

Its not your place to judge people.

Yes, your theory on humanity is correct as far as I can tell... We're all animals at heart, and the only thing animals truly care about is survival (and reproduction, of course)...

My life is good because I have everything that I need to survive... In fact, I have more than I need...

Anything else isn't worth a darn in life... Yes, it'd be nice to be making 60 million dollars just to make a few movies (or to make millions just to play a sport), but is that necessary to make my life good? Nope... So do I have any reason to be jealous or angry about it? Nope...
In response to Sir Ham
Sure they are... Our government is populated by nothing but evil people...

Give them some credit...

Say that you ran for a political office one day... Are you evil? Would you just automatically turn evil because of it? Certainly not... So then why is it that you assume that all of the politicians in this country are evil?
In response to Jon88
I'll deal with it then... I'll take my chances...

I see no point in wasting time, energy, and being stressed out about a problem that may or may not arise... My philosophy in life is one of fixing problems when they happen, not preventing them...

Sure, that may not be the wisest way to work, but it hasn't failed me thus far...
In response to SuperSaiyanGokuX
You must program some BUGGY code. :D
In response to Jon88
Heh, I suppose that would be a decent assumption...

While I do try to write solid code the first time through, I definitely am very reactionary in making sure that it works... I write what I think will work, run it, and fix any problems that I see afterwards... And so on...

Of course, that's not the best way to do it, according to Deadron...lol But it works for me...
In response to Sir Ham
Why do you care, unless your doing something illegal?

That happens to be the same method I take >_>

Because they track the criminals, then they start tracking other people, then it's a quick jump over to any of those science fiction novels where the governement knows EVERYTHING.
In response to Jon88
No, thats a vivid assumption. I don't care if they know where I am, if I'm not doing anything bad then I don't have to worry about anything. But people like you are all freaking out, only makes me wonder about your guilty conscience.

If you're afraid that the government will know everything about you, then you must have something to hide from them...

If you're doing nothing wrong, then it doesn't matter if the government knows all about it...lol
In response to SuperSaiyanGokuX
I mean in the sense of the crazy sci fi novels with the evil government controlling everything. Not likely to happen, but if enough privacy and rights go... who knows?
In response to Jon88
No one knows...

And that's exactly my point... It might never happen that way, it probably won't happen that way...

So what good does it do to get all stressed out over it now? Absolutely none at all...

Therefore, I don't care... I'll care when/if it happens...but until then, I'm just fine...

Sir Ham, if you're in the mood to do something "radically progressive", you should start by reading The Boomer Bible by R.F. Laird.
