Is there a place where you can make games on the computer like BYOND but you don't have to download or pay anything?
Everything is going to require some sort of download.

How do you know that? Have you been to each and every site with things that let you make games on the computer?

You still have to download the displaying resources. Everytime you visit the BYOND forums, you download new information since new text is added by new posts. If you were going to an interactive website that allowed you to make small games then you would have to download the resources while you go onto that page. Not to mention it's highly unlikely one of these that are in existence allows much customizability or even for you to save your creation without you downloading the information to upload at a later time. So basically he knows because it is common knowledge.

Sure, all you gotta do is buy a new computer with the games on it already... That way you don't download them from the net or via CD.

look.

if you want anything in life, you have to take risks. Life is all about risks, you take a chance at things and if things turn out bad, you learn.. if they turn out well then you benefit even more.

so long as you have a connection to the internet you ARE running the same chance of being infected with a virus as you are to download the sleaziest and most shady game in the entire world.

People like to say 'my product will prevent blah blah blah' but its all just smoke and mirrors. The only good protection is knowledge. personal experience.

You see, these virus scanning devices are only scanning the files on your computer for malicious code inside files, and some (cough) McAFREE (cough) only looks for extensions it isnt aware of.

But what happens if someone creates a virus using even so much of a small variation in code? well.. then it's a whole new virus and even the most up-to-date antivirus program in the world will probably not have defenses for it, yet.

and viruses are not the worst possible way of being attacked on the internet, people can simply connect to your computer through an open port, force upload a trojan and then walk right into your hard drive.

What I'm trying to get at here is simply this, BYOND is as dangerous as any bank. you run the same risk just USING a bank account as you do playing byond, downloading byond..

and if by now the person stopping you from downloading hasn't changed their mind, they are simply looking for a reason to get you off the computer.

Sorry if that sounded like an insult or something, I assure you it wasnt meant in any offencive way.
I run run accross one once, acrtually, but many URLs have dissapeared from my brain recently. Like one for a really good airsoft site.
