Marvel vs. DC would be great... Lobo and Wolverine could have a fight inside a bar, and as soon as the battle begins, they fall behind the counter so you can't see anything, which somehow makes it believable that Wolverine could walk away victorious.
Oh, wait. That already happened. (Note to all less geekier than me: I'm referring to a well-conceived but poorly executed Marvel vs. DC series in which popular characters had bouts that were decided by fan vote... basically, a popularity contest. Lobo, a lame "badass" character from DC who's roughly on par with Superman in terms of power and invulnerability, was paired with Wolverine. Lobo == somewhat popular. Wolverine == massively popular. Foregone conclusion. However, it's not possible to actually draw Wolverine defeating Lobo. Lobo sucks as a character, but he's just out of Wolverine's league. So, they had the entire fight take place behind a bar.) | |

Terra would kick Megaman into the dust (Ultima+ Esper form + X-Magic, anyone?) (Tag match) Sabin & Yuffie would drop Guile & Cammy like a sack of potatoes (Bum Rush vs. Flash Kick = Bum Rush wins, no contest, Yuffie's full limit break would wreck Cammy) B. B. Hood (Darkstalkers) would wreck Relm & Marle (Chrono trigger) single-handedly, unless Relm decided to paint her portrait.... ouch... Kefka would stomp just about anyone, on either side, with near impunity, unless he and Sephiroth (or Sin) got into it... Diamond Weapon vs. Jin's huge robot... possible toss-up, with the edge likely going to Diamond Weapon... but maybe not... Vincent vs. Jill (Resident Evil)... Vincent almost assuredly. He's a better shot, and can transform into a variety of monsters. Of course, Gogo would kill just about anyone... He'd simply mimic their own attacks. In the end... Square would likely win, but feel free to dispute me all you want. | |
