Storylines draw me in. And think about it a little. They have the largest fanbases, they are the biggest sellers, and a lot of games have RPG elements in them, so they must be doing something right.

My answer is: These days, I don't play RPGs. They bore me. Exile 3 was my first RPG, and I got about halfway through it before getting bored and quitting. That was basically it for me and RPGs. Morrowind sucked me in for a while with promises of a huge, compelling world to explore, but eventually I realised it was just a thin sheen over the surface, got bored, and quit. | |
