I'm sure all of that is true among the DBZ community. However, I'm quite happy to avoid that community entirely. When I use BYOND, I don't play games with idiots, and I don't join games that idiots host. I think games live is a waste of time now, since it's just an endless flood of DBZ rips. It should probably be done away with entirely and replaced with a games search function of some sort.

My solution so far has worked out fairly well. Instead of relying on the hub and the BYOND forums, or games live, I now have my own forum. There, I can talk to people of similar interests in a relatively civil way. And frankly, I'm not a tolerant admin. If people post junk I don't want on there, it goes, whether it has "useful content" or not. \

So far the forum hasn't had any problems. But if people started causing trouble, I'd be happy to do away with them. If you force yourself to rely on BYOND's provided features, you're going to get the type of people you don't want. Why not make a stand and setup your own alternative community? Especially if you have administrative powers, you can mold the community into whatever you want. If you don't like the way people behave here, don't let them in there. You set the rules.

Right now I've stopped building games with BYOND - at least not BYOND games. I occasionally work a bit on my telnet MUD, but not as often as I should be. Right now I'm working on my MUDmapper editor, which is increasing in functionallity rather quickly. Right now it's technically capable of even building areas for non-BYOND MUD areas, although it doesn't support anything outside of just the rooms.
stop trying to act better then everyone else.

That would be a big mistake. Most of the people here are people I would never want to be around in real life. I certainly don't want to stop acting better than them and start acting equal or worse than them. My standards are higher than theirs, and that's just the way I want them!

(Refering to "everyone else" in general, that is. A few exceptions are always around.)

Since we are on the subject of bragging - I doubt it... I also did wrestling (until I found rugby to be more fun) for a short bit: 9-2 record. Plus I probably mass more than you do now, and I've had more years of experience...

mass? what secret Nazi code is that? For the snipers to pick me off as I take a dump? I'm on to you rat...

you make IQ of over 100 sound like its hard. Just to be nice i wont say mine, but over 100 is nto that big, most people are over 100.

Only about 50% are above 100 IQ (and only 50% below it). In the higher/lower amounts of IQs, like in the 130s and 70s, you're likely to get less than a couple percent of the population.

IQ is designed to be an arbitrary figure, but it's designed so that 100 IQ represents the average intelligence of the population. Considering that it's an average, that means that no, most people aren't above 100 IQ. Many are, yes, but not most of them.

No true. In fact, 100 is the median IQ. Only 50% of the population is above it. All IQs are normally distributed (that is, in a bell curve) about 100. I don't know much about Down's syndrome, but I'd say either your friend's brother doesn't have a 97 IQ (almost perfectly average), or he has a weird case where DS didn't affect his general thinking and reasoning skills very much.

Hey A.D.! You're hurting the bell-curve! :) (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

I'm in the ninety-eighth percentile of persons my age. That means 2 people in 100 are smarter than I, at my age. I'm 16, I just graduated, and I'm attending college starting this fall. I've created a number of popular games, yet I still am not overly cocky in all of this. Of course this post is an exception, but I believe what the point of the "don't act better than everyone else" is something along the lines of being overly proud of yourself, and treating others as purely inferior.
