Internet Explorer Problem

Ok whenever i click a link that opens a new window it doesn't load the page. i have to click "Stop" then hit "Go" to get it to go to the page. This is a very big problem if i go to a page that doesn't have a stop button. Anyone know how to fix this?

greater. i have IE 6
