It took me a while to place it... I kept hearing the voice (Eric Idle of Monty Python fame) and thinking of Python skits...lol But nothing came up...

And after almost giving up...it just popped into my head...lol

Okay, since only one of these ever got an answer:

This was the one spell cast by Presto on the D&D cartoon that worked... following a sarcastic suggestion, he summoned a fully functional (and entirely useless) aircraft carrier.

2. "When the wind is southerly, I know a hawk from a handsaw."

Leftley got this, it's from Hamlet. If anyone's wondering why I have so many Hamlet quotes, it's because I have the Kenneth Branagh movie version and I put it on whenever I'm coding.

The "universal greeting" espoused by Kup in The Transformers movie.

4. "They weren't civil to him."

This is from Hannibal... it's Barney the orderly's explanation of why the Tennessee state police didn't survive a day with the good doctor.

Anya from Buffy, questioning Giles's decision to apparently leave Dawn to her fate after she apparently summoned a demon who intended to make her his bride.
